Respite Care

[spacer height=”50″ display_desktop=”true” display_tablet=”true” display_mobile=”true”]
Traditionally, respite is seen as an opportunity for carers to have a break – the break may b e needed so they can rest, focus on their own health or to see to other personal matters.

Whilst the benefit of respite was initially focused on the carers; it has since been learned that respite in fact has more benefits for the person receiving the care.  At Synovum Care Centres the benefits we see are:

  • Participation in an extensive activities program, keeping their minds active
  • Socialisation during activities and meals
  • Stimulation through a change of scenery
  • New friendships – with residents and staff
  • A sense of belonging to a group outside of their usual network

The Basic Daily Care Respite Fee includes the following services:

  • Meals
  • Activities
  • Laundry
  • Medication management
  • Personal care support
  • Physiotherapy review and exercise plan

For an additional fee we can coordinate hairdressing, podiatry, transport to appointments and other services as required.

Flexible Care (Day Care)

[spacer height=”50″ display_desktop=”true” display_tablet=”true” display_mobile=”true”]
Flexible Care is available to allow families to keep those they are caring for at home longer by allowing them opportunities to continue with paid employment, studies, personal and family commitments and as important to provide the care recipient with social interaction, a support network, activities and just to belong to a group outside of their usual network of people.

The program is flexible; you and your family choose your days, times and inclusions to suit your current needs and we will design a program and price to accommodate those needs. Flexible Care starts from as little as $10 for a 4 hour period.
